Join percussionist and jazz vibraphonist Erik Charlston on Tuesday, April 2 as he leads JazzBrasil in a celebration of the music of the legendary Hermeto Pascoal. Accompanying Erik are a stellar lineup of musicians, including Ted Nash on sax, clarinet, and flute, Vitor Gonçalves on piano, Eduardo Belo on bass, Café on percussion, and Mauricio Zottarelli on drums.

Erik Charlston has an impressive musical resume, having collaborated with jazz and pop icons such as Wynton Marsalis, Steve Coleman, Bill Frisell, Dave Brubeck, Tony Bennett, Sting, Elton John, and even Metallica at Madison Square Garden. He is a regular performer with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, on Broadway, and on various film soundtracks, from Disney’s “Aladdin” to recent releases like “Joker,” Steven Spielberg’s remake of “West Side Story” and “Barbie.”
